Metro Credit Union – Elkhorn

Metro Credit Union has opened a new full-service branch in West Omaha. The Elkhorn branch comes with a clean, streamlined look. It was designed for less foot traffic and used technology to improve efficiencies.

Banking is changing and is on the cutting edge of technology with its interactive POP-I/O video banking stations. These stations, along with the help of staff, allow users to set up a variety of accounts quickly and efficiently.

McNeil Company with JH Design drew inspiration for this project from Metro Credit Union's recent re-brand. The goal was to make the design timeless for the midwest region while connecting it with the character of a metropolitan area. Occurred using textural panels, neutral colors, lighter wood tones, and a monolithic marble teller desk.

We brought in modern materials like large-scale concrete tiles, cool LED pendants, and contemporary furniture to channel an urban-area spirit. The ultimate desire was to draw the customer's eye to the backlit logo seen from the exterior and upon approach. The pops of color with the furnishings and artwork bring this space to life and create another signature jh design.
